I am Nadia Gamarra, General Manager of Las Margaritas SAC, a Chimbotean company that produces agro-industrial products, including beverages, preserves, jams, cereals, among others. A few years ago I had the idea of making a product that is healthy for the consumer and in maca I found the best alternative. When I was studying Industrial Engineering, I dreamed of giving the opportunity to thousands of Peruvians, creating a company that can help us grow as people. Many of us have the guts to achieve what we set out to do, but we need to overcome fear and risk doing wonders.
I inherited the entrepreneurial spirit of my grandmothers, one of them sold alfajores and the other owned a stall in the market, I decided to be my own boss based on those models.
Along the way there were many obstacles but nothing daunted me, with the support of my family, I was sure that my business would be successful. It is true that it is difficult and that sometimes it is frustrating because things do not go your way, but you have to take some time to move forward.
Currently the drink is sold in Chimbote and Trujillo, as well as in the cafeteria of the Exporters Association, but my plans are more ambitious, in two years I want to be in the main supermarkets nationwide and then export.
I firmly believe that Peruvians can achieve a lot, nature has benefited us with wonders, we just need to get down to work for our dreams to come true. Get motivated, believe and grow
