Mono- and bismaleimides are duroplastic powdery thermoset monomers that can be dissolved in organic solvents. All these components can be cured thermally with or without accelerators. The homide monomres can be used as raw materials for the production of high-temperature resins and as cross-linking agents for rubber in the vulcanization process. The use of such cross-linking agents improves the mechanical and thermal properties of the elastomers produced.
