Natural stone surfaces (eg granite, limestone, marble, sandstone) can be found in many forms as building material for cladding in buildings and facilities, dry stone walls, floor coverings, monuments and sculptures. The geological history of their formation results in different mineral compositions and therefore different properties. This is also noticeable when removing graffiti. The same cleaners B. show completely different cleaning results on granite and crusty limestone surfaces. Good to very good results can be achieved on most natural stone surfaces using standard chemical or abrasive cleaning methods. However, cleaning measures on such surfaces are one of the most time-consuming and labor-intensive compared to other surfaces, as several working steps are often required here to achieve a visually satisfactory cleaning result. We also recommend the application of protection systems for natural stone surfaces that are frequently affected by spray attacks.
