Gear Rims;

Gear rims are toothed rings, which, in contrast to gear wheels, do not sit directly on an axle, but are usually screwed to a component with the help of fastening bores. Large gear rims are used in cylindrical mills and rotary kilns in the cement and mineral industries for example. The internal or external gearing can be manufactured by gear hobbing, gear shaping or grinding. Special gears for chains or timing belts are also available on request. The number of teeth, their shape and width, as well as the gear quality or, if necessary, a hardening of the teeth, are tailored to your specifications or requirements. Before starting the manufacturing process, DV-B will specially design and calculate the gearing according to customer requirements. The load capacity calculation is carried out based on the appropriate DIN or ISO standards.
