The measuring arm is a portable coordinate measuring machine with which the geometry of a component can be determined. Quality assurance, inspection, on-machine workpiece inspection, reverse engineering, virtual assembly or 3D modeling – the measuring arm supports all these applications. The mobility of the measuring system comes from 6 axes that can allow an infinite rotation. There is a probe at the end of the measuring arm. To measure a point, the probe is simply positioned at the point to be measured. High precision angle encoders make it possible to determine the current xyz position of the probe at any time.
