Ice pack, cool pack, cool packs & gel pack, these are the three different names for the same product. Ice packs and cool packs are filled with gel, which is why the name gel pack came from. Our ice/cool packs are used in many different industries. The ice packs are often used in places where flake ice cannot be used, such as transporting fish by air or sending meat or medicines by post. Because Gelpacks are closed and therefore do not release melt water when they thaw, Gelpacks are often used in the Pharma, organic and fresh produce industry.
