Dieser Fasertyp wird hauptsächlich zur Behinderung der Rissbildung des Betons in der Erhärtungsphase und zur Erhöhung des Brandwiderstandes eingesetzt. Einen Beitrag zur Verbesserung des Trag- verhaltens leistet dieser Fasertyp im Ge- gensatz zu Stahldrahtfasern nicht.
