Sked Oregon Spine Splint II;

This spinal fixation/removal device is the only device of its kind that meets all established criteria for immobilizing a sitting patient. The ideal companion to the Sked® Stretcher System, the OSS II, when used properly, allows patients to be safely removed from injury sites without further damage to the spine. The unique diagonal shoulder strap design provides superior immobilization without restricting breathing and can be reconfigured to retract and immobilize the shoulders for collarbone fractures. The OSS II is designed to provide easy access to the patient's chest or abdomen for therapeutic or diagnostic procedures. It can be used in place of the traditional short back brace and as a hip or leg splint. The OSS II includes a shoulder board not found in similar devices, which can be used to prevent the shoulders from being pinched when using a flexible stretcher. The OSS II folds into an extremely small package and fits inside a rolled-up Sked® Stretcher in a backpack without adding bulk to the Sked Rescue System package. The OSS II, when used with the Sked® Stretcher, provides critical spine stiffness during transport, whether carried or lifted. Available in International Orange or OD Green with camouflage bag.
