AKYA F- Lichiidae L- Lichia amia I- Lear fish M- Naked fish, no scales, lady fish Morphological Features: Y.F.= D1I-VII, D2I, 20-21 AIII, 19-20 Body oval, flattened at the sides, back blue, partly greenish, abdomen silvery. Body covered with thin scales, head without scales. The lateral stripe is characteristic, starting at the gill cover, running parallel to the back until the tip of the gill, then curving abdominally and straight back to the tail. Although it is described as a coho iris because its predation resembles that of the lufers, it differs from the lufers in that the lateral line extends in a straight line from the gill cover to the tail.
