Civilized gas is obtained from the refining of petroleum. The energy source is well known in the summer months, when it is used to light grills or lighters. But it can also be used to generate heat for heating and hot water. Liquid gas is stored in tanks outside the building and is often used as a good alternative to heating oil in areas without natural gas or district heating connections. Compared to heating oil, it emits less CO2 and fine dust into the environment. Heat generation using natural gas can also be combined with solar thermal energy, combined heat and power plants or heat pumps.
