It represents The Old Byzantine style and is made according to all the Orthodox religious canons. The face of the icon is hand painted on a wooden board using high quality oil-based paints. The metal part of the icon is made of copper and silver plated with a thickness of 25-30 microns using the electrolysis method. In order to increase its artistic value, the silver pieces are patinated and artificially aged. For the decoration of the halo gold plate/leaf is applied, again using electrolysis with a thickness of 3 microns. For further enhancement Swarovski crystals are added.
